The find is from the nuragic village of S’Urbale (Teti-NU). The lantern, ceramic, spoon-shaped with an ogival profile and flat bottom, is of more accurate workmanship than the other lanterns found at the site. A handle, partially preserved, allowed the object to be gripped, which, with the flame fueled by a fat of animal or vegetable origin, served to illuminate the room. The object is dated to the Final Bronze-Early Iron Age, between 12th and 8th centuries BC.
