Middle Bronze Age (18th-14th cent. BCE).

The “saddle” millstone and grindstone come from the Talei protonuraghe in Sorgono (NU). These tools constituted the necessary equipment for milling grain. The smaller stone was rubbed against the larger stone that held the grain, so that flour could be obtained, which was especially essential for the preparation of bread and other foods. The finds can be dated between the 18th and 14th centuries B.C.
