Recent-Final Bronze, c. 13th-10th centuries BC.
From the earliest stages of the Nuragic period, among the main working tools essential for woodworking were axes with raised edges, a type typical of and exclusive to Sardinia. The object was found in the village-sanctuary of Abini (Teti-NU). Work tools, along with figured bronzes, weapons and ornaments, are often found in Nuragic votive deposits. Like panelle and copper ingots, axes had great intrinsic value as metal.
