The stone fragment, found in the village-sanctuary of Abini (Teti-NU), bears the insertion of a bronze votive sword fixed with a lead casting. The offering of weapons and bronzes at shrines was a widespread practice in Nuragic times. Votive swords also adorned the tops of the worship buildings. The find dates to a period between about the 13th and 8th centuries B.C. (Recent Bronze-Early Iron Age)
