Final Bronze Age (12th-10th centuries B.C.)

From the earliest stages of the Nuragic period, among the main working tools essential for woodworking were axes with raised edges, a type typical of and exclusive to Sardinia. The object was found in the village-sanctuary of Abini (Teti-NU). Work tools, along with figured bronzes, weapons and ornaments, are often found in votive deposits from the Nuragic period. Like panelle and copper ingots, bronze axes had great intrinsic value as a metal. The find is dated to the Final Bronze Age (between about the 12th and 10th centuries B.C.).
