The truncated conical ceramic object, with large circular transverse hole and circular impression on the top, is a loom weight. The presence of these objects in the Nuragic village of S’Urbale (Teti-NU) attests to the occurrence of textile activities and presupposes the existence of vertical type looms that have not been preserved until today because they were made of wood and other perishable material. The weights were used to ensure warp tension. The find is dated to the Final Bronze Age (12th-10th centuries B.C.).
